As evening approached, Edo, Feliks, and Sharon are helping Peter and Gina clean up the picnic area under the incandescent lights strung on overhead lines in the grove. They are ready to leave, but Matthias had not returned. No one had seen him since the fight. Now they are worried that maybe Chuck and his friends caught him alone somewhere.

Peter spotted Matthias returning unharmed and continued packing the picnic basket.

When they cleaned the trash and packed the picnic basket, Feliks asked, “Has anyone seen Matthias?”

Peter said, “I saw him a moment ago. I thought he was coming to help with the cleanup. I have no idea where he is.”

Gina looked up, smiled, and said, “Fellows, I think you lost your friend.”

Alarmed, Feliks said, “Really. How do you know? Is it bad? Do you know where he is?” Looking in the direction where Gina’s eyes were focused, he saw Matthias with a young girl holding his hand at the tables with a large family. Then he said, “Oh. Shit. That’s bad. I have to save him.”

Gina said, “Don’t you dare.”
